Pre-Health Information

“Pre-Health” means that a student is interested in attending a healthcare-related professional school after graduating from UNC Charlotte. To reach this goal, students must complete certain academic and extracurricular requirements to prepare for an application to the professional school. This preparation is referred to as a “pre-health track.”  For example, a student who wants to become a dentist would follow a pre-dental track and would be referred to as a pre-dental student. Students, however, cannot graduate with a degree in Pre-Health, Pre-Dental, etc.

Students can choose from several UNC Charlotte majors that require the necessary coursework to be admitted to a professional school.

Pre-Health advising is coordinated through the Honors College and is a great resource for students interested in healthcare-related fields.  Visit the Honors College for more information.
